Hercules AI Never Stops Working
Auto Healing is a continuous, multi-staged process that monitors multiple data sources for issues and attempts to intervene when it can. It then validates whether the asset has recovered and notifies you with incident details.
Data Monitoring
Hercules AI monitors multiple data sources for errors and health status changes. Data sources that are monitored include: Operating Systems states, ATM health checks, Hercules RMS, error codes sent in transactions, NTrapTM Ethernet ports, API events, and other data from the Hercules modem.
Error Detection
Monitored data is analyzed in real-time to identify common issues that can be fixed by Hercules AI. The AI currently knows how to fix over 2,200 different errors. Some of these include:
- Operating system errors
- Cash dispenser and cassette misfeed errors
- PIN pad communication errors
- Card reader communication errors
- Printer errors
- And more!
Intervention
The AI has been designed to "first do no harm". When an error is detected that the AI can solve, it double checks that the issue is still active by looking at other data sources, and/or issuing verification checks using RMS. After making sure the problem is not transient in nature, Hercules AI takes action to fix the error.
Recovery Validation
After Hercules AI intervenes, it validates whether the error has cleared before proceeding with next steps. If the error has not been fixed, the AI is able to go back to the Intervention stage so it can re-attempt the intervention or try a different one.
Notifications
Hercules AI texts you with the incident summary once the asset is fixed. If the AI isn't able to fix the problem, it will send you incident details along with proposed solutions from DPL's comprehensive error code database which contains over 37,000 entries compiled in collaboration with hardware manufacturers.
